What is Blu-ray LTH?  -  BD-R LTH (low to high) media is created using a super-efficient manufacturing process that allows cost savings. This manufacturing process uses an organic dye that turns a disc’s reflectivity during recording from “low to high;” this is opposite of the “high to low” method used in standard BD-R manufacturing.

BD-R low to high discs are the same as standard BD-R; they’re just manufactured in a more efficient way.

Please Read:  BD-R LTH complies with Blu-ray® Standard version 1.2. JVC/Taiyo Yuden BD-R LTH disc are supported by all current Blu-ray® burners and most older models after installing a firmware update.   Also, BD-R LTH is supported by most Blu-ray® players including Sony’s PS3™.

Attached is a JVC Compatibility Chart. While these disc will work with all new Blu-Ray burners, they may not work with your burner or you may need to install a firmware update prior to use.
